Irvine Valley College has broken ground on its long-envisioned Arts Village that will feature rehearsal rooms, dance studios and a gallery.
The complex will house the School of the Arts in one main area of campus, while allowing room for future expansion. It will consist of three new buildings totaling 62,471 gross square footage and a quad area, which will feature native plants, artistic displays and sculptures.
The village will be home to studio arts, art history, music, digital media art, interactive media arts, dance, individual music practice rooms, rehearsal rooms, two dance studios, painting studios, digital and interactive media, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, assembly space and a gallery.
The complex is scheduled to open in summer 2023, directly southwest of the Performing Arts Center and next to Parking Lot 6.
