The final structural beam has been placed atop City of Hope’s six-story cancer hospital, which is set to open in 2025.
“I am filled with joy and emotion as we take another step closer in our fight to beat cancer,” Annette Walker, president of City of Hope Orange County, said at the topping-off ceremony.
The 73-bed facility will be Orange County’s only hospital exclusively focused on treating and curing cancer. It will connect to an adjacent outpatient center, which opened last year, at City of Hope’s $1 billion campus being developed at Barranca and Alton parkways. When completed, City of Hope Orange County will serve as the organization’s second main campus, behind its headquarters in Duarte.
