‘Queen of Pop’ Janet Jackson Performs in Irvine

Five-time Grammy Award-winner Janet Jackson will perform at Irvine’s FivePoint Amphitheatre on June 9, near the end of her acclaimed “Together Again” tour.

Five-time Grammy Award-winner Janet Jackson will perform at Irvine’s FivePoint Amphitheatre on June 9, near the end of her acclaimed “Together Again” tour. It’s the first Irvine appearance for the popular R&B and pop star.

The two-hour show will feature as many as 40 songs, including longtime Jackson hits such as “That’s the Way Love Goes,” “If,” and “One More Chance,” as well as songs that Jackson is performing live on this tour for the first time.

Celebrating more than 40 years in entertainment, Jackson is performing with the rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, a three-time Grammy awardee who is also an actor in the “Fast and Furious” film series. It’s her first tour since 2019, and reviewers of recently sold-out shows in Florida and Missouri have called it “fast-moving, high-stepping” and “electrifying.”

“This one’s special. I started young, but it means a great deal to me to still have God allow me to do what it is that I do. I’m so appreciative.” – Janet Jackson

Jackson shared her excitement about the tour with ET ahead of her sold-out show at Madison Square Garden in New York. “This one’s special,” she said. “I started young, but it means a great deal to me to still have God allow me to do what it is that I do. I’m so appreciative. And for the people to still be interested to come and see what it is that we do. I’m very, very fortunate and very appreciative.”
